Open source: the full list.

Here is what runs Agent Serein, what each piece does and its licence. An open-source licence means anyone can read the code, run it elsewhere and fix it: nobody can lock you in.

The AI models

The small models we run here are open models (published weights), chosen under Apache 2.0 or an equivalent licence. Every entry in the processing ledger names the model used; when you allow a commercial model for a task, the ledger says so too.

Our own modules

Mail, relationships (CRM), website (CMS), finances, tasks and the other modules are written by us, on these foundations, under the AGPL 3.0 licence. It keeps the code open for good: anyone who runs these modules for others must share their changes too. The code will be published before launch; this website already uses the same licence.

Updated November 2026. “Planned” components are part of the chosen architecture but not in service yet.
